The Client asked me to improve the user journey and to redesign the Volandia Aeronautical Museum websites. For this project I've worked on different tasks:
These are the tools that I've used for this project: Adobe Photoshop for the websites design and all the banners, Adobe Dreamweaver and Wordpress for setting and coding the websites.
Client: | Fondazione Museo dell'Aeronautica |
Sector: | Aeronautical / Museum |
Project: | Digital Identity Redesign |
Year: | 2015 |
Tools: | Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Dreamweaver); Wordpress |
The restyling was done on the main website first, to improve the usability of all the inner sections. This is the website that represent the Museum, and for the launch I also designed from scratch the new Flight Simulators area. This new tool was done with the purpouse to help users easily booking reservations online. During the first week of publishing, the website registered a huge increase of convertions, especially on this new area.
I also redesigned the two collateral websites, used by key stakeholders and all employees to check and share files and documents. To keep consistency with the main website, I used a similar template and the same design and style.
You can check the websites online by following these links: www.museoaeronautica.it - volandia.it
I also worked on a set of banners to use along with a Google Display Campaign, to support the launch of the new websites. I designed several banners (with different sizes) as advised by Google, and I used the same design and style as per the main Museum website.
The Google Display Campaign, followed by a marketing campaing runned on the main Social channels the Museum has on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, helped the Client to increase the traffic on all the websites, and then making good convertions on the main one.
In terms of design, I followed the same style I used on the websites, keeping everything clean with a good usage of white colour, and proper margins. I also used the main brand colour (Red Magenta) to highlight messages and Call-To-Actions.
